3D puff embroidery is most commonly used on hats, where the raised stitching really makes logos stand out. Because puff embroidery adds height, the design has to be digitized carefully so the foam lifts cleanly without collapsing or breaking stitches. We digitize 3D puff logos mainly for hats, and also for hoodies, jackets, and other apparel when the design allows. This style works best for bold lettering and simple shapes.

Side embroidery on hats can be placed either on the side area of the hat or directly on a side panel near the seam. Both placements are smaller than front logos and need careful sizing to stitch clean. We digitize side hat and side panel logos so they fit the space properly, follow the curve of the hat, and stay clear once embroidered. This placement is commonly used for secondary branding, small logos, or extra design details.

Back of hat embroidery is a great spot for small branding, names, or short text. Since the space is limited and curved, the design needs to be sized and digitized carefully to stitch clean. We don't treat hats like flat fabric. Every logo is digitized with the shape, structure, and stitching behavior of headwear in mind. The result is embroidery that looks clean, centered, and professional on the finished hat, not just on screen.
Hats have a curved surface and limited stitching area. Designs that work on flat fabric can distort, sink, or break threads on caps. We digitize specifically for curved panels, seams, and cap frames so the logo stitches clean and holds its shape when worn.
Not every logo works well without adjustments. Small text, thin lines, and fine details often need to be simplified or thickened. We review each logo and adjust it so it stitches clearly, instead of disappearing or looking crowded on the hat.
We balance stitch directions on both sides of the seam, reduce density in critical areas, and avoid placing heavy stitches directly on the seam. This helps keep the logo centered and prevents pulling or gaps after stitching.
For front caps, logo height usually works best around 2 to 2.5 inches depending on the cap style. For beanies, 1.75 to 2.25 inches is ideal, with 2 inches being the most common for clean results. We size every logo based on placement and fabric.
Flat embroidery allows more detail and lighter stitching. 3D puff uses foam to create raised lettering and needs bold shapes, wider satin stitches, and special adjustments so the foam lifts cleanly without collapsing.
